Insurance

We are out-of-network providers and do not directly bill insurance for services. When therapy is in-network, insurance companies can dictate how we spend our time together in session (i.e. which therapeutic modalities we use), how long we can work together (i.e. whether your struggles are ‘bad enough’ for insurance to continue paying for), and we are unable to keep our work entirely confidential. Because this structure doesn’t align with our values or the quality of service we believe you deserve, we have chosen to only provide private pay services.

out-of-network reimbursement support

While we don’t bill insurance directly, many clients with PPO plans are eligible to receive reimbursement for out-of-network therapy. To help make this process easier for clients to navigate, we partner with Mentaya, a company that provides an estimate of your plan’s out-of-network coverage and can help you submit claims for reimbursement if you’re eligible.

Use Mentaya’s free benefits checker to explore your plan’s reimbursement benefits.

Lower-cost therapy referrals

We understand that therapy is not always accessible and are happy to provide referrals to trusted practices who have built lower-cost services into their practice model.

Good faith estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
